Abbey Ruins & Cemetery - Donegal Abbey Cemetery

The Old Abbey stood for more than two centuries despite being ransacked, burned and ravaged. It was abandoned in the early years of the 17th century.

Today, the haunting ruins of the once celebrated Franciscan abbey are now a graveyard overlooking Donegal Bay. These historic grounds have, for generations, served as a final resting place for the town’s deceased.

Here is what caught my eye, I hope you enjoy!
