“Bridge Over The Inn”- Innsbruck, Austria

“Insprucke”, the historic name of the town is derived from the original meaning “bridge over the inn”. Innsbruck’s old town is full of historic and architectural gems all within easy walking distance. A colorful, picturesque city sitting in a valley surrounded by enormous, snow-capped mountains.

Innsbruck’s most famous landmark is a roof. The Goldenes Dachl, the “little golden roof” reflects the glory days of Emperor Maximilian I. Emperor Maximillian I chose Innsbruck, the Capital of the Alps, as his residence and the imperial capital 500 years ago. This makes sense as to why his mausoleum (without a corpse) is in Innsbruck.

This is what caught my eye, I hope you enjoy!
