The Sarah P Duke Gardens consist of approximately 55 beautifully landscaped and wooded acres including terraced gardens, fountains, gazebos, bridges at Duke University. There are 5 miles of allees, walks, and pathways. The garden creation began in 1934 with $20,000.00 given by Sarah P. Duke.

Admission is free, but there is a charge for parking.
There are public restrooms in the Doris Duke Center, Terrace Gardens and the Asiatic Arboretum.

No sports playing, tree climbing or swimming permitted.
Do not feed any of the wildlife.
