Hot Air Balloon At Dawn - Marrakech, Morocco
Hot air ballooning is a fantastic way to view stunning landscapes from a perspective typically reserved for birds. We watched the hot-air balloons being inflated in the cool desert air before taking our places for takeoff.
It was a once-in-a-lifetime experience to glide gently over the red desert just outside Marrakech, with breathtaking views of the foothills of the High Atlas Mountains at sunrise. The flight, which lasted about an hour, was followed by a 4x4 ride back to the starting point and a relaxing traditional breakfast with tea.

What you should know:
Balloon rides typically happen early in the morning when the air is cooler and calmer to ensure a smoother flight.
Its good to layer clothes because it can be chilly early in the morning, but sometimes warmer in the basket during the flight.
Takeoff is gentle, but landings can be a bit rough. Be prepared to crouch slightly in the basket during landing as directed.
Flights are sometime rescheduled due to weather conditions, so flexibility is important.
This activity is available all year round, subject to favorable weather conditions.
Departure very early in the morning to capture the sunrise.
Total duration of the excursion is about 4-6 hours, including transfer from hotel, flight, return by 4×4, and breakfast with tea after.
Location: There is usually round trip transportation supplied from your hotel / location.
