Once The Continental Army Headquarters - Newburgh, NY

Newburgh has diverse architectural styles reflecting the city’s evolving urban development. It is best known for some of its well-preserved historic architecture, including Victorian homes and buildings from the 19th century. Newburgh boasts a rich history, particularly related to the American Revolutionary War. Washington's Headquarters State Historic Site is located here. This is where George Washington stayed during the final months of the Revolutionary War. Like many other major cities, Newburgh lost most of its manufacturing in the mid-1900's and this led to a decline of the city. Today, Newburgh is going through a transformation and is changing for the better.
