Cradle of Aviation - Long Island’s Air & Space Museum

The museum preserves and celebrates Long Island’s contributions related to aerospace. There are over 75 original and/or replicas of air and space crafts in 8 galleries. The museum also offers educational programs.

This “Spirit of St. Louis” was built in 1928 by Ryan. It is one of two surviving original sister ships and was used in the 1955 movie “The Spirit of St. Louis”.

• Restrooms are available.

• The staff are friendly and informative

• Check website for days and hours of operation and any special events or exhibits.

• You could spend a couple of hours to a full day exploring here, depending on you level of interest.

• Tickets can be bought in person or online.
