The Oldest House In Raleigh, NC - Mordecai Historic Park

When you visit Mordecai Historic Park you will get a sense of what life was like during the period of Raleigh’s founding. The park is on the site of one of the largest plantations in Wake County. This historic park contains Raleigh’s oldest home still on its original foundation.

  • Public restrooms are available.

  • On the street parking is available; check posted parking regulations signs.

  • People are friendly and helpful.

  • You could spend an hour to a couple of hours here depending on your level of interest.

  • The park is always open; check website for days and hours of operation of tours.
