The Audrain Automobile Museum in Newport, Rhode Island is a great place to visit for the history buff as well as the art and automobile enthusiast. It is known for its impressive collection of rare, diverse, classic, exotic and vintage cars, often rotated throughout the year. The museum has knowledgeable and friendly staff who can answer any questions you may have and there is also QR code on display with each car, offering insight into the history, technology, design and as well as the cars impact on society.

This is the 1907 Renault “Vanderbilt Racer”, one of the most significant automobiles of the early 20th century. Renault let Willie K. Vanderbilt know that he would have to find approximately 10 buyers for the cars, which was not a problem. With that, Renault began production of approximately 10 cars at a cost of $150,000 - approximately $4.5 million in today’s money.
