The Largest Unfinished Catholic Church In The World - Sagrada Familia

Sagrada Familia in the Eixample district of Barcelona was designed by Antoni Gaudi and is part of a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The groundbreaking was on March 19, 1882 and the construction will continue well into 2026. In 1914, Gaudi stoped work on all other projects to devote the remainder of his life to this project alone, and is buried in the church’s crypt. At the time of his death in 1926, less than a quarter of the project was complete. The building facade design is taken from the holy scriptures and nature as models. Each of the three Gand exterior facades are name after and depict a different phase of Christ’s life: Glory, Nativity, and Passion. When completed, the building will have eighteen towers.

Here is what caught my eye; I hope you will enjoy!
