A Historic Georgia Port City - Brunswick

Brunswick was founded in 1771, and the layout of the town followed in a similar plan to the one James Oglethorpe dictated for Savannah, with city streets and squares still bearing their colonial names. Throughout the downtown area, markers tell the colorful and important history, both American and Georgian, of this seaport town. George Washington proclaimed it as one of the five original ports of entry for the colonies in 1789. There are streets filled with different architectural styles including Gothic Revival, Italianate, Queen Anne, Romanesque, Victorian, Colonial just to name a few.

Here is what caught my eye; I hope you enjoy!
