Colorfully Painted Main Street - Tannersville NY

The unique colorful facades of Tannersville’s Main Street was the vision of local artist Elena Patterson. The Hunter Foundation implemented the “Paint Program”, and it is supported by local residents and corporate sponsors. This all started back in 2003 and was seen as a prospect of Tannersville’s economic rebirth.

The small village Main Street is lined with hundred-year-old buildings, some painted bright colors. Boutiques, restaurants, cafes, and antique stores. Some refer to the downtown area as New York’s painted village in the sky.

This is what caught my eye, hope you enjoy!
