The First Town In The First State - Lewes, DE

Lewes is a charming small town that is located where the Delaware Bay meets the Atlantic Ocean. When you stroll the streets of the historic district you will see unique shops, museums, and restaurants to please every palate. There are some buildings and houses that date back as far as the 17th century. The area also has beaches on both the bay and the ocean as well as preserves filled with hiking/walking trails. Lewes was the site of a British bombardment during the war of 1812. The story is told in the Cannonball House on Front Street.

Here is what caught my eye; I hope you enjoy!
