Three Beloved Cape Cod Lighthouses - Nobska, Nauset, and Three Sisters
Cape Cod has many lighthouses but here are just a few.
Nobska Light, originally called Nobsque Light, was originally established on the site in 1828. The existing 42-foot tower was built in 1876 and overlooks Martha’s Vineyard.
Nauset Light is a restored lighthouse on the Cape Cod National Seashore near Eastham, Massachusetts. Erected in 1923 using the 1877 tower that was moved here from the Chatham Light. Nauset Light is the the Cape Cod Chips lighthouse.
The original Three Sisters Lighthouses were three 15-foot high masonry towers which were allowed to fall into the ocean due to sea erosion in 1890. The three wooden towers on the site today were built in 1892.
Here is what caught my eye; I hope you enjoy!
